GWSC was formed in 1966 by local community leaders that identified a need for a dependable water service in the Garfield Community. The initial water system had approximately 100 members. Today, while still a small rural community water supply serving approximately 700 members, we look forward to growth in the demand for our water service. We proudly serve our members along Highway 71 in eastern Travis County, River Timber, Caldwell Lane, Navarro Creek Rd., Burch Drive, Greenwood Drive to Buck Lane.
If you need residential service in the Garfield Water Service area, please complete the request for Standard Service found under Forms. If you require Commercial or non-standard service such as for a commercial business, RV park, or residential subdivision, please complete the Non-Standard Service Application for evaluation by our engineer. You may also contact our office directly at 512 247-2139 during office hours. The Garfield Water Supply Corporation (GWSC) is a member-owned, non-profit corporation furnishing potable water service to the Garfield Community. Corporation operating policies, rates, and regulations are adopted by the Board of Directors elected by the Members of the Corporation.
The GWSC Tariff describes the operating policies, service rules, service extension policy, service rates, water use restriction policies, sample application packet, and miscellaneous transaction forms adopted by the Board of Directors. You can find a copy of the Tariff under Forms and Reports.
